It’s ok to fail

2012

“It’s ok to fail” is a photographic project that explores human pain and vulnerability through the face, capturing the emotional intensity of those who have experienced failure. The subjects are invited to reflect on a moment in their life when they felt defeated and to externalize the pain they felt. The images, shot in close-up, show faces marked by tears, expressing a raw and sincere intimacy. The black background amplifies the intensity of the moment, acting as an empty space that embraces and challenges the pain. Black can represent loneliness, loss or an end, but also the possibility of rebirth. The project aims to break the taboo surrounding failure, transforming suffering into an act of liberation and acceptance. The work investigates the emotional limits of the human experience, pushing the viewer to confront their own vulnerability and reflect on the meaning of failure as an integral part of the journey of life.
